Preventing the formation of Gall Stones

The number of people with gall stones is on the increase, and contributory factors to this are highly calorific and fatty foods. Europeans, Americans and Scandinavians typically suffer from the problem of gall stones, but it is seldom found elsewhere and it is a rare condition among Asian people.

Donat Mg is beneficial for gall stone patients as it causes contracting and emptying of the gall bladder and accelerates the secretion of bile.

The bile of patients who had been operated on to remove stones was found to contain too much cholesterol and too little bile acid and lecithin. Raised levels of cholesterol are also a typical condition for people who are overweight. Bile in the gall bladder thickens by up to 4-10 times, so that the mucous membrane of the gall bladder absorbs water and salt. There is 200-300 ml of bile in the gall bladder. The magnesium sulphate contained in Donat Mg has an affect on this in such a way that the gall bladder contracts and at the same time relaxes muscle closure at the exit point of the bile duct tube, so that bile can pass through this exit point into the duodenum. Regular emptying of the gall bladder thus prevents the formation of gall stones.

We drink half a litre of lukewarm Donat Mg in the morning on an empty stomach.

Donat Mg does not eradicate gall stones, but it prevents their formation.
